Inspirational Latin pianist Anthony Rodriguez has come a long way in his musical career. Performing from a very young age, he has developed a musical talent and responded to a calling to not only as a performer, but to minister through the piano aswell. As years passed throughout his youth, he was already performing professionally by the age of 17. He was making a living out of music, not only in a live setting, but also as a recording studio musician. Music naturally came to him, being that his parents were music ministers during the 80's. As he progressed, he started working with christian latin groups and a few local artists. Anthony has been featured in a recording with BET, film titled "Isaiah's Touch", a 2005 Telly Award winner. Anthony has worked alongside Jose "Papo" Rivera, Puchi Colon, Ruben Felix y la Orquesta Xariz , Rene Gonzalez, Samuel Hernandez, Ezquiel Colon, and Bani Muñoz (CanZion), just to name a few, aswell as recorded on albums such as; Tu Gran Amor (Josue David), Con Poder y Uncion (Xariz), Tangys Song (Isaiah's Touch Sound Track), and Los Cubanos (Los Cubanos), among many others. Gaining all of that experience has given Anthony the ability to begin his own project, "Poetology", which started in 2006. He recorded his very first solo album called "Harvest onto the Lord".
Doors opened for Anthony and his band to bring positive latin jazz into places where listeners wouldn't expect to hear this type of music. Anthony has been the very first in the tristate area to bring latin jazz into a variety of churches and to be able to present his music to the people who to this day, cherish the music. Working on his second album "Keys to the Kingdom", which is made to be a album only available on iTunes, has brought a uniqueness to the listener's ear. In 2010, Anthony is planning to release a third album, "Just Me", between summer and fall.
Poetology is known to be among the first to be called a "Latin Jazz Ministry" in the U.S. Where ever Anthony performs, there is a band behind him, and you would know it as Poetology. The purpose to this project is to bring a joy that will last forever as this inspirational latin pianist, dedicates his talent to God, and brings it to our ears.
