Influences
random creative urges, not so random creative urges, the naughty apple of knowledge, biting the naughty apple, and of course feelings of rebellion toward all the self righteous, puritanical bastards that make our lives miserable for knowing ourselves
(profanation, the Anthropos and fusion; the harp accompanied by a demonic violin reinvorced with distorted guitar ) put your right hand in heaven and your left in hell, plie, shake booty, tondu, turn yourself around .. and that is what it's all about.
AnthroApologie is a sonically original and classically influenced rock band. Widely enjoyed by fans all over the east coast by using a harp and a violin in conjunction with the more traditional band instruments and tight, complex vocal harmonies, we become a seven piece alternative to our own alternative. Every aspect of who we are from our instrumentation to our sometimes provocative lyrics sung by our 'hard to take your eyes off of' vocalists, sets us apart from the standard fare. This summer of 2007, AnthroApologie played a number of memorable shows including Asbury Park’s Stone Pony and Philadelphia’s Trocadero Balcony Bar. Recently we took our brand of music on a mini-tour through Philly into Boston and Detroit where we played the notorious club The Ritz. We recorded select tunes from our repertoire this summer and have received favorable press in our area for our originality and musicianship. The dedication to our music, a growing fan base and a desire to expand our horizons and experiences drive us. Our message to listeners:
"As AnthroApologist's we think it is in your best interest to attend our shows and prepare to, get human".

Hey AnthroApologie, we hope you can make it out The Magic Bag, Friday June 12th. As it will be our most wonderful show of the summer and it sure would be swell if you could have a frothy beverage with us :-)
No news? no shows? I haven't seen you in a while. I guess I'll have to be the one this time... Rose's Devotion will be playing in Chubbie's in Red Bank. It will be a show for the book with some surprises planned. Perhaps for a while... I hope I see you there. It will be taped... I hope all is well... Danix
