a big home run in that insane come from behind win against the rockies last friday. he's hitting .258 in 11 games (.571 to start the month,) he's got 4 doubles, a triple and 5 rbi's. the doubles and triple all coming over the last 4 games.
he always played really, really well at wrigley when he was with the cards - i think that's one of the reasons we picked him up.
but for a platooning center fielder (with reed johnson) i'm pretty satisfied so far.
what's happening with the padres?

as for the stars, you won't see me complain. they played 18 games this post season, that's 1 more game than the LAST 3 post seasons combined.
they went out in the first round the last 3 years.
they took out anaheim (defending champs,) and san jose (favored to go to the finals,) two teams they weren't supposed to beat. plus, they made a series of it with detroit after going down 0-3. good experience for all the new young guys on the team, and something to make them hungry for next year. almost all of this team is under contract for next season.
it's good to see stars hockey back to being respectable. that's what happens when you make brett hull your co-gm ;)
so now it's officially baseball season!
the cubs are rockin, and i'm excited.
