GORDON IVY AND THE JAYBIRDS - A midnight rave with the Jaybirds Ep
Due to a continuous lack of respect from Gordon ivy & the jaybirds, I lost all faith and motivation to promote the band. All the copies will be destroy. Integrity makes me want to totally disassociate Choking Hazard and myself from that band. Sorry to all fans - Some copies are still available from the band and are gracefully distributed by Akashic records, with stickers included.

I'll be the first to admit that i'm generally not a fan of most first-wave Uk punk shit. This record takes many cues from the nostalgic no-future, punk-on-the-pop charts streets of the Windsor Empire. The PISTOLS' influence is definitely there, along with the bounce of '77 and a certain weirdness that i can only liken to some of the Crass Records' roster. The ANTIBODIES seems to have a massive back catalogue starting in the mid- '90s made up mostly of cassette-only releases. From what i can tell, guitarist / vocalist Pete Doff has been in and around the UK punk scene since the late- '70s, and played in a band called OBSCENE TOYS that folded in '83. All in all, this is a cool Ep.

ANTIBODIES - CONCRETE ROCKERS GO UPTOWN EP If you yearning to harken back to hey-days of early UK political punk you better pick this EP up right now! This band sounds like an old unearthed SUBHUMANS demo from the era of " The Day The Country Died ". The vocals are dead-on and the demo-like raw recording recreates the mid tempo, dark brit punk style exactly. Solid, angry punk rock!
THE SPEARS - PEOPLE ARE BAD EP This great! Ultra-snotty basic, jumpy, Ritalin-Laced pure punk rock american style. Sounds like any number of obscure, zit faced youth punk / hardcore bands circa 1981. The catch is these guys are current and made up of veteran Florida punk rockers from bands like HATED YOUTH and PINK LINCOLNS. Think your band sounds like 80's punk?
