"BABYDOLL":
Hi-tech 8-track anti-folk recorded autumn 2006. I have always enjoyed good folk-pop and this is a miserable attempt to write a catchy folk-tune. The song tries to be nice by telling "the babydoll" that it loves her, but the barking and screaming only scares her away.
"COFFEE & CIGARETTES":
Originally a folksong written in 2005, reworked into a slow countryrocker in "Far Away Eyes-style" and curently a small hit after the Bygdetour 2007. Homemade lapsteel played by Thomas Maarud.
"GREEN MARBLE PEARLS":
Originally a dull singer-songwriter song trying to copy the early Giant Sand-feel. A song about picking up your girlfriend after work and driving her home in the dark while turning off the headlights just to scare her. The funny thing is that she actually likes it. She puts on her "dandelion smile" and her green eyes shines like marbles.
"SUMMER OR WINTER"
Anti-Bossanova with cheesy organ and chords. A Dylanesque story, namedropping Jimmy Reed & Elvis Presley, about communication problems and love. Great backing-vocals from Han Are!
"THE HUMAN JUKEBOX"
A song about the blues-singer Blind Snooks Eaglin who was the real human jukebox. It must have been hell, but also quite cool.

Fresh anti-bluegrass with trains & pains.
