W.I.L.D is about living an extreme lifestyle for Jesus. Leaving your fear behind - fear of what people might think of you, or being scared of looking stupid - stepping out. Connecting with the lost and broken, and showing them that Jesus is ALL they need, he is their hope.

WALK THE LAND involves us going onto the streets to connect with people, and pray for people. We do this locally, and also globally.
-"Walk the Land is time to waste on people. It feels like a priviledge to spend time listening to someone tell their story, hearing thir pain and struggle; walking alongside them for five or ten minutes in their journey, standing with them on their side of the wall. The simple act of listening - proper listening, not the half gazed state of being somewhere else in your head - is hard work but rewarded with a connection that breaks their isolation. Then, from there to pray for them, asking the Holy Spirit to pour out the love and kindness of Jesus into their lives, heal their pain, their body, their wounded heart. Walk the Land is walking with humanity."

SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES.... "THE TIME OF BUSINESS DOES NOT WITH ME DIFFER FROM THE TIME OF PRAYER, AND IN THE NOISE AND CLATTER OF MY KITCHEN, WHILE SEVERAL PERSONS ARE AT THE SAME TIME CALLING ME FOR DIFFERENT THINGS, I POSSESS GOD IN AS GREAT TRANQUILITY AS IF I WERE UPON MY KNEES AT SACRAMENT" Brother Lawrence 1611-1691 ...Spiritual disciplines are about contemplative prayer, meditation and putting Jesus in the forefront of your mind. Breathing in His Holy Spirit and being refreshed on the inside. Letting go of the things which burden you, and walking in peace...
Who I'd like to meet: HEALINGS, SIGNS AND WONDERS...
Mission Music is a youth group which we run every Friday night, primarliy for non-christain young people from the local area. We have a room called the ‘Connect Room’ which is available for the young people to use if they want to. Basically this room is a prayer room, and we pray for the kids and talk to them about God each week. Recently we have seen a real outbreak of God’s glory there…
One young girl had been visiting the connect room every Friday, for a number of months. That particular week we felt it was necessary to really step out and pray for people who needed physical healing. The girl came forward as she had a problem with her elbow joints and had never properly been able to straighten them out. This affected her greatly as she loved to play netball. We prayed for her and to her amazement, one of her elbows was completely healed. She decided to come to church the following Sunday where her other elbow was then healed. She hasn’t had another problem with them since.
We have had a few experiences of angelic presence in the room. One Friday evening there was a corner of the room where you could physically feel what appeared to be a pillar of wind. We believed that an angel was stood in that place. This wind is something that we frequently experience in the Connect Room now, particularly when we are praying for healing. The young people have noticed this too! It seems to be something which we experience when God is really moving.
TESTEMONIES FROM WALK THE LAND- ISLE OF WIGHT, OCTOBER 2007 - We prayed before we went out onto the streets, and asked God if there was anything in particular we should buy as a gift to give to someone. I prayed and felt God tell me to buy some perfume. I chose a random bottle of perfume, in hope that it would mean something to someone! I felt God had shown me that it was for a lady in a red jacket. Later on we were walking through the park and I came across a lady in a red jacket. I decided to approach her and explain to her that we were from a local church, and ask her if we could pray for her. The lady began to open up to me, explaining that she used to be a Christian but had had an encounter with another spirit when she went to the pyramids in Egypt. Since then she had followed Egyptology. She explained that her niece had cancer, so I asked if I could pray with her and she agreed. Before we left I gave her the perfume. She said to me, ‘If the box has something significant on, then I’ll know that God is speaking to me.’ As I handed it to her she gasped. The name of the perfume had ‘David’ in it. This was the name of her husband, her brother and her grandfather, and was of great significance to her.
When we step out and make ourselves vulnewrable in this way, God is always faithful!
