AntiQuark has been releasing albums & performing in the USA and Europe since 2001.
This project was created in California by Ant Dakini, an Italian keyboardist and sound engineer.
She is the composer and producer of AntiQuark music.
Sergio, the voice, joined the project in 2006. He formally studied singing at the University of Texas and garnered extensive experience performing with a variety of bands. He also worked as a radio-DJ and sound-engineer before moving to California.
AntiQuark loves to make the audience dance basing their core of sound from the electronic and techno arena. They then lift this base with their own experimental musings and twist the result into a more avant-garde "sonorita'".
AntiQuark has peppered the US with shows and tours several times, including LadyFest Las Vegas, and toured Europe 6 times.

"In the vein of Solaris, K-PAX
and The Man Who Fell to Earth,
PROXIMA is a refreshing film full of wonder."
(LONDON SCI-FI FESTIVAL)
"If you’re looking for something different
in science fiction from your traditional lasers
and alien monsters, check out
Carlos Atanes’s PROXIMA.
Remember Proxima is not just a place,
it’s a state of mind… literally."
(NIC BROWN, B MOVIE MAN)
"PROXIMA is an endearingly off-beat sci-fi film
whose odder moments owe to the visionary
can-do determination of Spanish
underground director Carlos Atanes."
(CARL J. SCHROEDER,
THE MYSTICAL MOVIE GUIDE)
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
