  • Bio

Antiquity is a Bismarck native who produces sample based music. He started off as just another bedroom DJ but eventually his creativity needed to be expressed more. He has a small arsenal of vinyl that he has amassed over 10 years. All tracks were made with mostly samples and loops from obscure vinyl and bizarre movies. Recordings were primarily made with a Boss Sp303 sampler, Tascam 242 4 track recorder, two second hand turntables and Philips stand alone cd burner. Lately He has gone digital using Audobe Audition with a rebuild Compaq thanks to a friend of his. Self produced and titled cd is available to those interested. Many thanks to all the listeners, artists, and musicians for the friend requests and the encouraging words. Antiquity is just looking to bring his own flavor of instrumental hip-hop to the table and international scene. Fresh material on an Ep will be out this Spring 2010. Keep listening and supporting indie music. ..Some dude with too many records and a sampler stuck in the Midwest. A work in progress that is raw with unadulterated hip hop beats mixed with a touch of obscure samples that could be a soundtrack to a movie that was never made....Music was once called similar to Boards of Canada, UNKLE, Theivery Corporation, Amon Tobin, Emperor Penguin, DJ Shadow and DJ Cam minus the great production and insane scrathing, Loop Guru, and Bonobo.
