After almost 10 years and nearly 1000 shows, Melbourne power trio
antiskeptic decided to finish their incredible journey on September 20th 2008.
and what a journey it was!
Formed in the back of a record store in 1999, the band quickly rose
to prominence through the strength of their energetic live shows
and acclaimed recorded material.
Hard working and independent, the band self financed numerous
EP’s and albums, including the classics - ‘Memoirs of a Common Man’,
‘Aurora’ and ‘Monuments’.
In celebration of the band and it’s amazing career, antiskeptic farewelled
punters with a series of shows across Australia, culminating with the final,
sold out, hometown show at the Hi-Fi in Melbourne - captured in it's entirety for the
DVD/CD release 'Goodbye Goodnight'. This electric performance saw antiskeptic
bow out in style and will serve as a fine closing chapter one one of our country's premier rock acts.
Good to see The Sundance Kids doing well at the moment. Seem to be playing lotsa shows and movin on up in the Rock World, they we're a great band to have on the final tour.
hey guys hope that you guys are going to be like blink 182... nick can do some drumming for a rapper or a dj, sean can join some epic bands that sounds a lot like antiskeptic, nick and andrew can start a project and release one album and tour on it then you'll all get bacl together and hope that nick doesn't have a plane crah with a dj...
If I recall correctly, it was around the 27th March last year that it was publicly announced Antiskeptic were calling it an end...sounds like an ironic date to possibly release the Final Show DVD?!?!
