"In the Name of the State" is a trail actually off the next album of that title which describes the kind of America that the right is planning ..an end to liberty usurping democracy in the fiction of the fight against "the enemy"; this Fascist America of a possible tomorrow is a scary scenario and described in "Fe Fo Fi Fum" , etc
But War Games - the Battle FOR America continues; Not a Single Bouquet (Just another bloody day) hits home at those who spoke of a warm welcome for the US military - well, we all know how wrong that was, eh! Not a single bouquet for the American way........just another and another and another........bloody day.
This is an anti war protest album BUT it is not anti military; those guys and gals are tirelessly and bravely carrying out their tasks with commitment and courage despite the growing odds of the insurgency. We salute them all in "Commands for Heroes" while laying the blame at the leadership and that means at the door of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Barry David Butler has brought clear insight to this maverick and some maintain, illegal war; we together have, we believe, identified the core aspects of the moral position and relayed events as they really are.
