I keep forgetting I have this stupid ugly site, but anyway, I am pleased to inform you that the new album INTERCAPITAL DAYLIGHT is OUT! It was going to be called something else but I decided to change the name. And, umm, well, you can grab it for free.
And of course there's all the lovely old stuff that's been put out over the past 12 months, which you can read about below...
Friends Don't Let Friends Electric IS OUT
It's about two months late, but it's here at last. This one's actually got some new stuff on it. Download it today from the album minisite, transfer it to whatever fragile device you use to blot out the realities of the world, and go berzerk. Yeah.
There should be another couple of songs out in December, and this year they'll also come with a compilation thingy of all the other December releases from past years, for all of those who missed those from the old website.
Also available: the "old stuff" compilation CHINDOGU. It contains many songs from Antlerland's formative years in the late '90s when it was known as the Kul Teng Funk Overdose.
DOWNLOAD IT you fools!
You can listen to Lost In The Translation and 111 right here in the player up there.
You can also check out all the album tracks at last.fm now if you're not sure about downloading it.
Now, onto the mundane profile crap...
Basically I, one Graham, started throwing beats and tunes and all sorts of odd crap together around 1996. "Kul Teng Funk Overdose" was the original nom de guerre for this stuff until I decided that that was a pretty stupid name, so in 2001 I sat around for a few minutes trying to think of a name and settled on Antlerland.
What it all boils down to is some kind of hybrid thing incorporating a dub and/or d'n'b dynamic with strong tunes and interesting beats. You know, kind of like the stuff Leftfield and Orbital used to do. Of course sometimes the music goes on a three-day bender and ends up chained up to the traffic lights by handcuffs, in a Humphrey B Bear costume (without the head) and lipstick smeared all over it's face, with absolutely no recollection of how it got there.
I should point out that there's a proper site and all at antlerland.com with more music and such.
