Antonella Barba is a girl from Point Pleasant, New Jersey who auditioned for American Idol Season 6. She auditioned in New York with her bestfriend, Amanda Coluccio. For her and Amanda's audition they both sang "Tell Him" by Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion. After their song together, Amanda sang her audition song first then came Antonella with her very good audition of "Free".
In Hollywood Week, she is in a group with Amanda and Bailey Brown. After their song of "This Old Heart Of Mine", Antonella and Amanda made it through and unfortunately, Bailey didn't know the words to the song and got cut. Antonella made it to the Top 40 and it made her sad to find out that Amanda didn't make it with her.
During the Top 40 pick, Antonella went inside the judging room with Marissa so the two of them will find out if they are in the Top 24 or not. They showed Marissa and Antonella's song on Hollywood Week Round 3 and then the judges said their decision that Antonella is in.
During the Top 24 week. Antonella sang "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" Randy Jackson said it wasn't really good and quite bland. Paula Abdul said that she is an amazingly beautiful girl but just made a bad song selection. Simon Cowell said "The good news is your attractive, the bad news is it didn't work" also Simon said that the song was way too big for Antonella. Thursday night, Paul Kim, Amy Krebs, Rudy Cardenas, & Nicole Tranquillo went home.
Top 20 week was dedication week. Antonella chose the song "Because You Loved Me" and she dedicated it to her brother Vincenzo. Vincenzo gave Antonella inspiration and Antonella is very thankful for the support shown by her brother. For the judges comments, Randy Jackson said the the positive thing is that Antonella is drop-dead gorgeous and amazingly beautiful but her performance was all over the place and the song is too big for her. Paula Abdul thought that it was leaps and bounds from last week, where she sang "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing". Simon, didn't agree with Paula and said the complete opposite, saying that Antonella's performance was worst than last week. Thursday elimination show, We had to say goodbye to Nick Pedro, emotional exit of Alaina Alexander, shocking elimination of AJ Tabaldo, & the hilarious encore of Leslie Hunt.
what are the chances we'll see you in playboy? i think you might have lost your chance when you were all over the news right after idol. your a doll.. would have sold millions.
