Many years ago, I promised myself that I would make a solo record as soon as they developed digital recording for the home - thus offering a relatively inexpensive way to do a large project. Now that this is a reality I have enlisted friends such as Ace Frehley, Richie Havens, Brian Wilson, Chris Botti, Ivan Neville, Blondie Chaplin and other great musicians to complete a body of diverse but interconnected songs.
I think of the record as an old style one - in the days when we used to put on headphones and listen to the details in the music and some of the twist and turns that happen within the instruments while the big picture is going along.
This album has been a long journey for me. My life has gone through many twists and turns throughout the writing of the songs and recording of the project. I hope that you will enjoy listening to the music.

Planula Records Releases First Children's Music Single on iTunes
Anton's take on the South African traditional song, "January, February, March" is now available on iTunes as a Children's song!
A great way for kids to be exposed to some very happy music from the other side of the world, and to learn the months of the year at the same time!
Anton writes about the song, "Growing up in S.Africa I heard a lot of this kind of carnival music played by the mulatto race made up of combination black, white and Indian peoples who represent a strong musical voice in Cape Town especially. Songs like this were played through the streets by competing troupes on New Years day and represented the life and soul of the city. This traditional song, arranged by Moe G and myself, had to be played by the home boys, Bakhiti Kumalo and Moe G and Tony Cedras who, from Cape Town, plays keyboards, accordion, banjo and lead vocals true to the essential spirit of the style. Vincent plays great 'hi-life' style guitar lines. Thanks to the 'orn section augmented by Ronnie Cuber on baritone and Randy Brecker and to the JFM minstrels who came in and had a party.. "

About the song, Anton writes, "A really old song, I finally got to do it with Sebastian Bach singing and with my friend Ace Frehley on lead guitar. I had just played on Sebastian's record and he came in and wailed on this. Ace, whom I have played with for so many years, came up briefly one night and dropped on a few solos - it's classic Ace. I played the rhythm guitars and bass but felt the bass was too static so I asked Richie Scarlett to overdub some fills and combined the parts. I have played with Richie for years in both Ace and Sebastians' bands so it was natural for him to be a part of this song. Chris Palmero, a great musician, played organ. The combination of musicians really worked."

Anton Composes Music for "Sea of Darkness" - Soundtrack Title Song Now Available on iTunes
Anton composed the music for the new and critically-acclaimed film, "Sea of Darkness, " directed by Michael Oblowitz. The film had its world premiere in June at the 2009 CineVegas Festival. You can read all about the film on the CineVegas website
