Antonio Allen is a forced to be reckoned with on the jazz scene. Audiences have listened in amazement as he displays his love for God and music through his horn. His music credits include performing with artists, such as Wayman Tisdale, Kim Waters, Silk, and Arrested Development. He has also made guest appearances on the television series, In The Heat of the Night.
For Antonio music started as a hobby. My ability to play is a gift from God, it is something that comes naturally,says Antonio.
Some highlights in Antonio's career include performing the National Anthem at the Democratic Convention, performing Mr. Magic with Kirk Whalum, recording a worship medly with Mark Kibble of Take 6, opening for Kem, Najee, and Marion Meadows.
Antonio has 2 solo recordings, "Lost Without Hymn" (2003) and "Forever & Always (2007) to his credit thus far. "Forever & Always" was released national on April 29th, 2008. It's already climbing smooth jazz charts. Antonio is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on his 3rd release, "The Air I Breathe", which is scheduled for release in early summer 2008.
