There are these 3 kids from Adelaide right? They’re called Antony Of The Future.
Wow.
They’re amazing.
They play this… I guess you’d just call it pop music? But remember when pop bands were cool? Remember Dinosaur Jr? Remember Pavement? Remember the Kinks and the Small Faces? That kind of pop music. Unashamedly fun, singing along, jumping around kind of pop music.
They were Unearthed by Triple J last year just before they played to a massive bunch of screaming kids at the Big Day Out. Then they were a featured artist on mp3.com.au and got a heap of airplay on the Js. All this off the back of a demo recorded in a couple of days in a mates studio.
Recently, they’ve been playing some shows in Melbourne and Sydney to punters and professionals who are both getting as worked up as each other.
Understandable really, once you witness the irresistible charm of frontman Antony and the smile-on-your-face melodies and choruses this band seems to so effortlessly bring to stage and to tape.
Antony Of The Future go into the studio to record their debut album this year and will pretty much destroy the universe shortly after.
