Anya has been singing most of her life. Based in Europe for 8 years and Paris for four years, she was raised in the eastern United States. After being involved in many choirs as a kid, she started her first band at age 12 as a singer, keyboardist and guitar player. She continued on to lead a punk band in high school as singer and bass player.
She moved to Europe in 2000 after finishing university in New York City and started the group Alvik in Prague with Czech drummer/producer Mishan. They have been doing a mix of nu-jazz, downtempo, and nu-soul together for 7 years now. Their live show features a crafted mix of acoustic and electronic sounds glazed with elegant vocals.
The last few years Anya has been singing on more projects and has gotten more involved in DJing as well as the Soul/Funk/R&B DJ Sister Soul. Anya attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Seattle in 2005 with a bunch a super cool talented people. In the meantime, she is involved in several collaborations names with like Bruno Morais (BR), David Dahan (FR), Orakel (AT) and Kyle Murdock (USA).
A part from music, Anya is an active filmmaker. She is a director, editor and director of photography for the Paris based production company Art Park shooting short films, music videos and industrial video.
