AO was born Andy Ortiz in Los Angeles, California on June 4, 1986 and is the son of two Salvadorian parents. As a young boy AO would sit in front of the stereo and listen to his fathers music on a daily basis and that carried on throughout the rest of AO’s young life. In 1996 AO’s parents decided to leave Los Angeles and relocate to Hesperia, and take there son out of the violence streets and create a better environment for there son to grow up in. As a result of moving AO grew to love the city and the county which he represents the 760. Always a creative thinker he would always write lyrics down, but never use them for anything. AO would keep his talents of writing lyrics as a secret to the rest of the world until 2006. As the years went by he notice that the high desert was a very boring place that’s when it hit him and decided to put his talent to use. AO’s plan was to bring some noise to the 760 and get people excited about something new. Equipped with 2 notebooks filled with rhymes he began to record music on a karaoke machine and as time went by he upgraded the recording quality. Throughout the next, 2006 and 2007, years AO was able to usefully put out 3 mixtapes: “Prince of the H mixtape volume 1” “Prince of the H mixtape Volume 2: Second to None” and “Back to the Beginning mixtape.” After flooding the streets with cds and opening up countless shows with artist including: Krs One, Mims, Young Berg, The Pack, Kurupt, Problem, & Ying Yang Twins, AO decided to take a break in 2008. In 2009 AO came back with a vengeance and decided to give the industry something to talk about coming out with countless hits like “Body Movement” which was played on 99.1 KGGI, “Sippin on a 40” playing on 94.3 The Duck and an internet hit song called “Indigo Vanity.” AO has also been involved with music videos that have surfaced throughout youtube and knows the value of advertising himself in anyway possible. AO is a individual who loves his music and loves to represent where he is from and at the same time where he is at. AO is ready to keep making noise with his latest album called “Lawn Chairs and Bass” 26 tracks and quality new exciting music. AO has definitely made a name for himself in the 760 high desert area and will continue to give the people want they want, and at the same time keep knocking on the industries doors, pushing for the record deal. AO is and forever will the 760 movement.
