The Oklahoma Atheists exist as an online community and as a real world organization.
This organization is a nonprofit social and educational association to promote free and critical thinking as opposed to the uncritical acceptance of faith-based ideas and norms. We strive to maintain the First Amendment guarantee of separation of state and church, interpreted in such a manner that government should never directly advance nor inhibit religious practice or belief. Further, we work in coalition with like-minded organizations where joint action is needed to achieve these goals. This organization shall operate in an open, transparent, democratic manner, without discrimination as to gender, race, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, nationality, disability, or political affiliation.
Oklahoma Atheists eat dinner twice a month as a group, unless holidays interfere with our scheduling. We eat at Galileo's in the Paseo in Oklahoma City the last Friday of every month at 7PM.
