"A>Pants came about after John and Brandon worked at a used book/CD store and started coming up with ideas of songs based on frequent customers, people working at kinkos, co-workers, or themselves (fat kid). They wanted to pair down their instruments to an analog synth, a bass, a magnus organ, and various cheap drum machines. The effect is one of sparseness and brevity - leading to only the bare essentials needed to capture the audio-likeness of each song's character. I can already smell the awful breath of the person in the song leaning in to talk with a 'potty tongue.' I mean, come on - can you get more poetically descriptive?" -Ron Tickle
