Hi, my name is Jenn.I'm a junior in college, and I'm majoring in History and English Literature. Essentially, this means that I will have an unofficial "liberal arts" degree upon graduation--hooray! This also means that I have managed to make it so that I have no free time AND no post-graduation job prospects. Go me! Talk to me in two years and I'll probably be living in a box with a B.A. taped to it, lol. But hey, it could be worse. Could be raining. Currently, I'm giving serious thought to grad school in Library Science, specifically in archiving, but I have a while to go yet before I get to that point, I think.
I own a little bonsai tree whom I call Bertram Smith-Hammington in lieu of having an actual pet. I like clean sheets and Batman comics, but I'm not a fan of balloons or the sound of food being chewed loudly. I love Japanese food and Mexican food, although there isn't a Mexican restaurant to be found in Japan, and likewise in Mexico. So I will stay in the US where I can find both types of restaurants at my convenience. ^_^! I have a deep, deep loathing of Ex-President William McKinley. He knows why.
Years of living in military housing has engendered in me a wild love of posters and postcards, and my dorm walls are absolutely papered with the things. My favorite colors are orange and goldenrod, but not necessarily together. I have a deep fascination with Communism, though I'm not actually a Communist. I used to be a Hawaii girl, but I relocated for college-like purposes, as Hawaiian colleges are not renowned for their history degrees.
I do not know what else to say about myself that isn't covered by the "Interests" and "Favorite -insert media distraction here-" sections, as that's about all I do in my scarce free time. Sometimes I do Japanese calligraphy, which I am moderately terrible at. I'm assistant editor of my school's yearbook, which combines my love of graphic design and of sending angry e-mails to non-compliant people. Beyond that, I suppose you'll just have to talk to me if you want specifics. Oh, horror of horrors!
