APB is Aaron Ballesteros. Aaron is not only the leader, main song writer, arranger, producer, lead & background vocalist for APB, but is also well known for his great drumming with such famous artists as: Prince, Tito Puente, Carlos Santana, The Beach Boys, James Brown, Los Lobos, Freddie Hubbard, Poncho Sanchez, Tierra, Thee Midniters, El Chicano & many others. (Please refer to: www.apbmusic.org for more details). APB features accomplished musicians from Los Angeles, starting with Gilbert Stokes, whose voice is heard on some lead vocals on the APB cd. He was also the voice for the Gold & Platinum winning group, El Chicano, who had another hit with a remake of the Young Rascals "Groovin' ", as well as a British top "Five" release of "Do You Want Me" (Both produced by: Aaron Ballesteros). Steve Carlos Falomir, bass player & back up vocals is well known for his studio work in & around L.A., but is especially known for his bass playing on the hit record "Together" by the group Tierra. Dennis Alvarez, guitar & lead vocalist has toured with Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods as well as Tracy "G" (formerly of "DIO") & has been seen playing alongside Spencer Davis. They are joined by two extraordinary keyboard players: Bob Luna, who was the arranger and musical director for Dionne Warwick, & John Kito, who was the arranger and musical director for The Mamas & The Papas. They have also added alternating percussionists: Martin Medina & Johnny Sandoval, who have performed with Sister Sledge, Famed Trupmeters, Arturo Sandoval & Gregg Adams. Finally, all the tastefully brillians sax solos on the cd and on stage are played by: Victor Cisneros, saxophone player extraordinaire.
Influences
Aaron is currently working on APB's second Cd & is in the process of negotiating a major record deal. APB has worked with such artists as: Cesar Rosas (of Los Lobos), Poncho Sanchez and Tex Nakamura (Harmonica player with WAR) on their first album. (which was nominated in 7 Grammy Categories in the 2007 Grammy Awards).
