A Peace for Gaza
Presented by Ayah Music & Roundtable Ent, in association with Palestine House
We all, by now, must be very aware of the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
Ian Boyne, contributor to The Gleaner, a Jamaican news publication, puts it best when he says: "emotions, bias and prejudice trump reasoned analysis and nuanced thinking on both sides (of this tragedy). And when you have the kinds of reports and video footage of real, gut-wrenching civilian suffering and death as in Gaza today, it seems almost cruel to appeal to cold reason."
As Torontonians we cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening around the world. Everyday we are reminded of how blessed we are to be Canadians and how much we do take that for granted.
A Peace for Gaza (APG) is one informative and fun filled evening of guest speakers, musical performances, stimulating visuals and MORE...This is a time to GENERATE Peace in our world and as those who are fortunate to live in this country, a sovereign nation that is seldom affected by catastrophe, to do our part and raise FUNDS for relief of all the innocent civilians involved in this ongoing tragedy.
All proceeds will be donated to the Medical Aid For Palestine.
