Ape Has Killed Ape was started as a home recording project in North Hollywood CA in 1996 by Matt Stein. Matt has released 6 Ape Has Killed Ape CDs, Mattricide (2000), Acid Reflux (2003), Another Fraudulent Hoax (2003), Snide Rants and Cheap Gimmickry (2005), A Primitive Knowledge Of Metallurgy (2005) and most recently Distortion Clinic (2006).
Ape Has Killed Ape is still releasing recordings and playing live shows when they feel like it, usually at Mr. T.'s Bowl.
