We write records in a room best fit for sleeping. speaking of sleeping, we dont get much of that. The songs we write are from our hearts and are for you. AP4J'S music is an eclectic blend of genres, best described as Contemporary Indie/Alternapop.

In just six short months since the formation of the group, they have already caught the attention of the industry elite, performing shows opening for several A-list groups including Lifehouse, Vanessa Carleton, Paolo Nutini, Colbie Caillat, and Fuel. Their music has appeared on the WB, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Lifetime on shows like Smallville, The OC, Threat Matrix, and America's Top Model

With influences such as The Toms, Death Cab for Cutie, Queens of the Stone Age, Modest Mouse and Dashboard Confessional, A Penny For Jane appeals to a wide variety of audiences; from the hard rock set to fans of all things indie. As they put it, “We are not a band of trends. We are not a band of fad. We are a band that writes music as if it were used as a natural healer for the human soul.”

With this belief firmly in mind, The band is preparing to embark on a tour that spans the entire West Coast in the Fall of 2009.
