    Jason Explains It All's Interests
GeneralCrushing. In that I often have a ton of crushes. Essentially anything artistic. I've been getting into photography and drawing/painting lately, have acted in the past, and would love to learn how to play an instrument. I'm currently working on the keyboard and xylophone and would like to add the kalimba to my list. And did I mention that I am the curator (and lone photographer) for concertmine.com? I also enjoy writing, and getting to know people. I also figure I should mention that after finding a Nintendo in 2006, my love of old school video games has once again returned.

About me:
This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5

Hmmm...where to begin? If you disregard the fact that I am incredibly shy among a large group of people, can be needy and often take meaningless events/actions personally, I'm a pretty cool person who is fun to be around.

I have a concert photography site (concertmine.com) and I am currently interested in anything artistic, whether it be music, writing, photography, acting or painting. I've achieved all with some success except for music, but I'm working on learning things on the piano.

Also, after recently stumbling across every video game system known to man at thrift stores (specifically the D.I.) I've begun playing video games, with many of them being the games I grew up playing. If anyone ever wants to challenge me or play the vast array of Nintendo games in my collection, don't hesitate to ask.

I tend to give people far too many chances when they've wronged me. I'm far too forgiving but I never forget. No matter how little something may be, I'll always remember you if you've wronged me.

You'll also notice that I tend to ramble, and there are a few specific topics that can get me talking for days. Just smack me on the back of the head if I begin to go on for too long.

And if you're reading this (or the blog) drop me an email or a comment. Let's get some communication going on!

What music has Jason been listening to? Look below!

Who I'd like to meet:
People who promise to return email, people who want to exchange handwritten letters. People who write in their journals both in public and private. People who want to listen to me sing, and enjoy the comfort of a simple and quiet evening.

People who write in the blog section of their page and those who use correct punctuation, grammar and spelling. Where did capitalization go?

Oh. And someone who wants to sit down and play some old school Nintendo games with me isn't so bad either.

A note about the video below: I created this from video I shot at the A Very Palomino Christmas IV party this December. If you were there, you may see yourself in it. I hope you like it. The song playing over the clips is Billy Squier's "Christmas Is The Time To Say 'I Love You.'" thank you for the birthday wishes! I think the new Jewel album is pretty good. it's not as good as I hoped...but pretty good. her voice sounds amazing. some of the songs seem to lack some of the...depth that i've come to appreciate in her lyrics. So all in all...not bad, but not terrific. My favorite is still This Way.
What do you think?

You kicked trash tonight at the foot game!

It's really hard for me to say I missed being at the show, but the truth was I was in NYC and not missing much.
:) Hope you had fun, at least! Any good photos?

Thanks for the Birthday message! And the info about Tilly! Where are they playing?

Good for you. I like that about you -- it is a lot like me. I get bored and frustrated without change, and a lot of times, it is something like changing the furniture arrangement. Keep me posted. As for me . . . can't complain. School is good (though a bit hard), internship is a highlight of my life, I'm still lacking a guy but perhaps there's some potential going down . . .

Jun 5 2008 9:00 PM

Ah, how I miss tetris.
That was the highlight of the New Year's party! So, you're in a funk, eh? Hmmm, well I think you should get out of it then! What are some life changes you are thinking of taking?

Jun 5 2008 8:33 PM

Since I haven't seen you in forever (give or take a day or two), how are you and what the heck are you up to?

I am sorry.. I spaced out apparently.. You are so sweet. I have never been bowling so please, let me know when we could go bowling. I can do it tomorrow after 7PM or on weekend, after 5.30PM.
Anna

May 28 2008 6:18 PM

No kidding.. My friends yell at me that I "vanished" but it's always like that when I work two jobs lol I have hardly any time for sleeping. I want to hang out though.
I waited for your call last weekend but you never called punk lol
Teresa

May 26 2008 10:44 AM

No joke. We should go bowling again. I could use the practice.
Hey, do I still have your USB?
Shani

May 24 2008 11:24 PM

Now I have to look for the seams in yours, but I never noticed a problem before.

Not sure how you'll top the Band of Yous one, but I look forward to seeing it.

But thanks for the birthday wishes! It was a good day.

I love that smile =) Planted flowers again today.. Same tomorrow.. Tired as hell... What you've been up to?
Kelly

May 13 2008 9:48 PM

So. It was amazing, to put it mildly. They were funny, of course. Hilarious, really. Actually... FRIGGIN HILARIOUS is more like it.
At the end, Mark McKinney turned the camera at the audience and started crushing our heads and I was one of the lucky ones!

Hey! How are you? I was looking through my closet and found the "Pencilings" book from 1999. I read your poem, "Summer," and thought... "Wow, what a great poem. You are very talented." I especially like the first line. "I see the red skin bruise, crack." How awesome. Are you still writing poems? And.. Murdock.. memories... What a strange teacher. =) Take care.
Kelly

May 12 2008 8:23 PM

I would still like to see them at some point. No one's photography is that bad. Except maybe someone out there, I don't know who yet, but I can name a ton of shitty artists that died famous.

:)
Teresa

May 12 2008 7:14 PM

You should.
Kelly

May 12 2008 4:38 PM

P.S. I just realized what you wrote.. I don't think mine came out "bad"... I guess if I was the type of photographer who wanted to pull the whole "I'm an abstract artist" card (which is a lame one, but I use it often)... well, then they wouldn't be "bad" as much as "abstract and blurry".

It's so in, Ja-yson.
Where have you been? ;0)
Kelly

May 12 2008 4:11 PM

What makes you so sure I'll be around this weekend?
Kelly

May 12 2008 4:00 PM

It's still a bit surreal to me. I've been watching them since 1989-1990. I've been watching George Carlin specials & tv series and listening to him since I was in the womb. Ben Folds is someone I loved through college and beyond. It's like 2008 is truly becoming what I had hoped it would be. . . A Series of Firsts. . .

I still want to see photos of the W Lounge (I was sooooo retardly drunk, so don't actually post any where people can see bad photos of me. I no like those.
)
Teresa

May 12 2008 3:59 PM

Hey, your USB port is at my house. the one with the tetris video.
Anna

May 8 2008 8:48 PM
