Redhill Harlequin Takeover

Just found out that we are playing Redhill Takeover in March. Oh whats that you say?! Loads of massive bands have played those gigs in the past?! Like who!? oh dunno if you know, ones called um..... INME, and SPUNGE i think was one....and Sikth are about to too. Oh that good as we are going to play the one on March 3rd.

I was just looking through the summer holiday photos (as you do) and came across a certain picture i took in France which i had forgotten about. It would seem the insanity has spread abroad!

A new member enters the Aphia family....welcome king of synth and all things you can press horizontally...Luke Sarjant. First appearance, Horsham BOTB.

Oh yes oh yes our fifth full length track is finished. Cartilage Man will be played for the first time live at oh yes... Horsham Battle of the Bands.

We are working on our fifth full length track and i thought i should share a poem i wrote which will be used for this song, titled "Cartilage Man". I know it seems a bit pretentious but hey. And NO this is NOT emo poetry!! Read some damn Ted Hughes!
Here it is:

Cartilage Man.

I

As the dark huddle of figures,
Focuses in on the central soul time-piece;

Bone Man

He begins to disintegrate,
Liquid marrow melting into the cracks in the pavement,
Becoming one with the solitary confinement
Of the underground multitudonal common-place.

Only his scalp is left;
Becoming fried on the head of the earth.

Can it bring him back?

II

Years gone and the hair has sprouted,
But now a dark green,
Quite different to the original white.

Since the first coming,
A star has been budding
In the cerebrum of the ash tray.
It grows bigger,
Bigger,
Smaller,
Bigger, Burning a vortex in its base,
Falling through to become re-born;

III

In the cabbage patch of sarcasm,
Bulbous and crisp,
He kneels.
Poised;

Cartilage Man (AKA Aphia).
