| About Apnea |
Alternative-Rock band Apnea, was formed in 2002, when Nick Da Costa and Eric Davis decided it would be fun to jam together. With the addition of Ryan Nichols on bass, this proved to be the first step that Apnea took towards resembling the present-day version. Ryan added a solid, deep pocket and filled the massive void that needed to be filled. He entertains people with his enticingly tasteful fills and solos. At this point, the three-piece then decided that it was time to get serious. There was no suitable vocalist at this time and it was also at this moment that the band decided to enlist the help of another. That was when we stumbled upon Ben Melfi. Ben is great at guitar and really completed the band. He adds an element to the band that gives the music the edge. With his bone-crushing tones and slick style, he helped complete the Apnea image. The band then took to writing music. This was an extremely exciting time for the band, as it had never encountered writing music before. It was at this time that the friendships of the bandmates really strengthened and some of the greatest most artistic musical ideas were created. In 2006, with the help of Randy Solski from RS Sounds and Production, Apnea was able to produce the music that really changed our lives. It was important to us to create the authentic sound that we were trying to achieve. The band starting gigging before this, however, it didn't really pick up until the demo "The Inquisition" was recorded. Although Nick, Ryan and Eric are currently attending university, there are still plans of recommencing and writing some new material. This is a time, where we as a band are able to mature and we feel that it will be reflected through our new material. Thanks again for all your support and encouragement through our journey. It is much appreciated....Keep on Fucking rocking too!!!!!!!!!!!!
