Asterix is the songwriter and ringmaster of the Apocalypse Babys. Always managing to have something up his sleeve, (usually the contents of ladies handbags!) Asterix’s main interest outside the band is lesbians and would like any lesbians out there to email him photo’s of themselves rubbing their tits together (not them ones that look like blokes though!) His favourite drink is alcohol and his favourite programme is Cave Girl ---
Harry Hill - Drums
(1990 - 95, 2008 -?)
Harry, sorry Kelly was the origional Apocalypse Babys drummer returning now some 13 (unlucky for some) years later, to fill the vacant stool. Altho having always been on hand to record 4 of the bands 6 studio albums to date his return to the live scene is a welcome one! Jools is now running a book on how long he'll last T hee...

Jools – the artist formally known as pissed! Of all the retards ever to perform under the name Apocalypse Babys there can be none to match the living cartoon that is Jools! With an intellect rivalled only by certain garden tools Jools is proof that evolution can go in reverse! An illegal immigrant Jools entered the Apocalypse Babys world in 1999 when 20 stone of prime Hungarian lard mistaked the words "Apocalypse who, nah mate, never heard of em?" for "Yes please come join our band"! Over the next few months several attempts were made to lose him, in Canterbury, London and Wales were he is bet that he couldn't make it to the top of Llandudno's highest peak? He made it back before Rob had time to rev the engine, "Hey, looks what I've found!" ... the sheep looked very worried indeed! Over the next couple of years he drives the remaining members of the band to distraction. All except Asterix who finds him continually amusing, in fact the singer claims to have started laughing the first time he saw him and is still laughing now! Many Jools induced incidents are experienced over the next few years far too many to be included here? ---
In 1517 Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Church, initiating a sequence of events, which forever altered the geometry of global religion, politics and power! In 2005 at Tramps/Plymouth Jools nailed his pants to the wall! ---
Jools is famous for his quotes and witty reposts such as….
When asked weather there has been any history of insanity in his family he replied “no all my family are completely mental’! ---
“Jools have you farted”? “No lads, it’s probably me breath”? ---
Another gem is “our music is better than it sounds”! ---
And the immortal line…” Never shag a bird with a hairier arse than yourself"

'Birth of the Babys' -
South Normanton, a small town on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border famous for being a small town on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, or as many have put it, "A good place to move out of". It is here that a young Asterix The Brat decides he wants to be a punk rock star! It's the baron punk years of the late 80’s/early 90’s when gigs were few and many of the original bands had long since split up or were morphing into metal hybrids ? Mr Brat searches for talented musicians, unable to find any, he asks a gang of local drunkards thieves and drop outs if they would like to become Apocalypse Babys? "You fuckin' wot?.. they reply! -
And so begins 19 years of anarchy, chaos and general mischief! -
Yes with its reolving door of members (this band changes line up more times than the rest of you change underwear) Asterix has led this band of terrors from Scotland to Cornwall corrupting the nations youth with their punk rock filth and flying the flag throughout Europe for over 19 years now! They've been held by the terrorist squad in Italy, insulted the food in France, drank Belgium dry and left the women of Holland bo- legged! -they've played gay bars, strip joints, biker rallies and nazi gatherings? They've been attacked, slung out, arrested and banned
Yes the Babes are one of punk rock's best-kept secrets, outliving nearly every other Brit punk band formed in the unfashionable early 1990's Shunned by certain sections of the scene whilst gaining plaudits from others. Forgotten.. but not gone..!
And so in 2009, 20 years on from the bands birth with many of the 90’s wave of punk fans drifting away gigs once again are becoming less frequent and for many the 'scene' is nothing more than a yearly weekend at the seaside? Still, AB’s are here , still writing recording and occasionally performing (when they can find a gig ha?)
