About me:
Though my day job as a Fire Alarm Technician/Project Manager requires a lot of responsibility and time from me, I still try to find time for my passion as a recording engineer.
I graduated from the intense Audio Engineering course at Citrus College in Glendora, CA a few years ago, though I have been involved in music/recording for about 14 years now with one CD of my own under my belt in Electronica. My stage name is "Vyekodin" and you can listen to a couple of my songs on Garageband.com
Throughout those years, I have developed an absolute love for audio. But the adage is true, "The more you learn, the more you realize what you do not know".
Over the last couple of years, I have started, though not finished, building my own studio/school, A Place of Harmony Studios. Hopefully I can finish it in a couple of months.
More recently, a local audio manufacturer, Avant Electronics (www.avantelectronics.com) hired me as their Quality Control Engineer, a definite privilege in my book. I enjoy working for Avant Electronics and, ultimately, for their clients.
For those of you who actually know me, you know I am a very "detail-oriented" person. I am never "just satisfied" with things and there is always room for improvement. This is true, whether it is in my day job, or in my engineering.
When it comes to recording, I have a philosophy: "The music is the paint, my mics and gear are my brushes, the world is my canvas, and you the listeners are my critics." I record with this in my mind always.
To explain my name, I was a Corpsman (Medic, for those of you who have not had the privilege of serving) in the Navy, so.....
