Running all aspects of a band and being in that very band can be a very daunting task for many. Members of Apophenia have had a continuous hand in all of the bands merchandising, booking, web design, and
marketing. Five years and countless shows in top venues like The Knitting Factory, The Crazy Donkey, and Vintage Lounge. Countless fundraisers at college events for universities like Hofstra University,
City College of New York, and Fordham University at Lincoln Center. Apophenia has played and booked at almost every local event a Long Island based band can, making one of their earliest appearances at the
once infamous, The Down Town.
Entering the studio has been painstakingly the biggest learning experience for them. In and out of many studios looking for the right fit. It was never the simplest task till March of 2009. They had the
opportunity that would change the weight of the personal investment in this band more than ever. The first professionally produced record by the chief producer at General Studios; George Fullan was under
way... (Bayside, Kill Your Idols, Taking Back Sunday, Action Action).
Marking the end of tracking this summer member Seamus Kerley made the big move from New York to Los Angeles California to pursue a education-career in soundtrack development/audio production for post
production sound. A jump to expand his personal knowledge of music and to expose Apophenia music to a whole new audience. Member Charles Norris has been touring extensively for many artists to help
for the funding of this record and exposure. Touring for the world famous Jazz artist Peter Cincotti and r&b singer Ashanti.
Members Charles Jourdan and Nadeem Ahmed work on the front lines in New York to wrap up the record we have crafted for nearly a year. Nadeem Ahmed works for the airlines JetBlue
furthering the ability to travel the country in pursuit for opening the minds and ears of all people from all walks of life to our music while Charles Jourdan works extensively on his knowledge of
technology and music theory with a career for Apple and enrollment in C.W. Post University.
The band captures a very unique portrait of city lifestyle that can only come from one of the most complicated cities in the world… A place of broken beauty and irony. Drugs, violence, psychotics, beautiful
crazy people with a spirit to pursue, a spirit to attain. Right now is the time for us to shine our light on our ever most self-fulfilling destiny. Nothing will not stop four hard working men from this life
long path dedicated to art, regardless of the medium. We are in a war in our minds to attain our next opportunity (with a record in hand) to put on the best, most insane shows we can possibly put on, every
night, not a stone unturned, not a kid left feeling less motivated to do something…To do anything, to get up, to stand up for something, to live your dream; to do ANYTHING out of the
ordinary...
