There's an open mic reading this Tuesday, November 11th at 7-7:30pm outdoors at the library courtyard. There are going to be blues bands playing and they asked me to help spread the word about the poetry open mic that will happen in between the two bands (they need time to set up the equipment between bands and so poets have been called upon). Hope you can make it. I'll be there with my graduate poetry class. They are going to read. If you're free hope you read too! Spread the word to other poets beyond the grad poetry class.
This is Kirk, im writing to let everyone know that we have papers which MUST BE SIGNED by anyone interested in attending the Ethics Bowl. These papers need to be signed TODAY. Come by rm 302A on the 3rd floor of the COAS to Dr.McWilliam's office so you can pick them up. If she is not there stop by the philosophy department office on the same floor of the COAS. Excercise your virtue, fufill the categorical imperitive, seize your will to power, whatever it takes to get you to come by today and sign these forms!
The next time you see a headline about the government spending a billion dollars on some project, think about this way: If you spend $100,000 every day of the week it will take you more than 27 years to spend a billion dollars.
