Sounds Like
A hot Bluegrass Trio that knows what it's doing and has big fun doing it.
Led by Johnny Roquemore, Creative Loafing Magazine critics' choice "Best Local Singer/Songwriter" in Atlanta, this trio has played all over the South. From the highest-minded church revivals to the lowest honky tonk dives, on television and radio the hard driving bluegrass and humorous original songs consistently amuse their audiences.
Georgia native Johnny Roquemore returned from Malibu, California after 30 years of hobnobbing with the bigwigs of music. Dubbed the "Minstrel of Malibu" this singer-songwriter has come home to live on the family farm in Mansfield.
Watching Johnny and the Apostles play is fun! "Up beat music and off beat lyrics" claims the L.A. Times. "A deranged backwoods Santa Claus...the new king of the road" says Creative Loafing. Straining the limits of bluegrass the Apostles repertoire contains good music and intelligent composition and therefore may not be suitable for today's listener.

Hey guys -- the CD's arrived yesterday A big thanks!!! My kids think I'm semi-famous because my name appears on a real CD. I tried to explain the Ken Hensley / Uriah Heep connection but they're too young. All the best to you!
I am still raving about your performance at Red Top Mountain last week. You guys are simply amazing!!! In spite of the heat and the downpour, I think we all had a fantastic time. I knew you all would be great but you surpassed my expectations by a mile. Hugs to all three of you and make sure you leave some space in your schedule to come back to the park next year!
