It deals with what we have all been called to be-to sacrifice everything, even our lives, for the sake of the Gospel.

| | Books | *Generous Orthodoxy by Brian McLaren-you must come with an open mind when reading this ... its a post-modern/emergent view on things - very good.
*A New Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren- a dialogue of what it would look like to be a Christian in a post-Christian culture
*The Secret Message of Jesus by Brian McLaren- not as heretical as some people said, really detailed understanding of Christ commission for today through His own words to His culture.
*Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller- another post-modernt/emergent author who addresses the idea that people have always been and always will be the same. They have one need, a need to know and be known.
*Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller- Christianity is not a system of does and don'ts. In fact, that kills the truth and strength of Christianity. God has always been relational.
*Revolution by George Barna- the "church" as we know it is changing and it's dynamics will be dramatically different within the next few years.
*Organic Church by Neil Cole- the strength of the church is not in its denomination, but in it's growing biblically or organically as Cole says.
Great Classics: Les Miserables, A Tale of Two Cities, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Crucible (one of my favorites), The Scarlett Letter (another one of my favorites). Notice both my favorite classics deal with dishonesty and judgmental behavior.

*My Dad for growing in Christ and not being afraid to make mistakes in front of me. I hope to be as authentic in my walk with Christ as you are.
*Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for his pursuit of a non-violent means to justice.
