About me:

The Appalachian Riders organization was founded with the belief that Bikers can make a difference in their community. We are made up of several counties in the Southeastern part of Kentucky. With our love of motorcycles we are showing our communities in Perry,Leslie,Knott and Breathitt counties respectively that we care and are always there to lend a helping hand. At Christmas time you can find us in the halls of the Appalachian Regional Hospital giving gifts to the children who can not be home when Santa comes. We take up and give out of our pockets to the many needy families in our areas who can not afford to pay for such things as a funeral or for a theraputic tricycle for a little boy named Dakota who has cerebal palsy. We also do alot of charity rides such as the ride for the March of Dimes Charity, and the Rolling Thunder Ride for local U.S. Veterans. Our newest project we are working on is the battle to help the drug addicts get clean. We have members who, at least once a week, are taking someone to a rehab facility so they can get the help they need to get control of their life once again. The Appalachian Riders also support the graduates of the Perry County Drug Court and are there for these people when they need to talk. We let them know that there is always someone out there who believes in them and will not turn their backs on them. With these particular projects we hope to clean up our communities of the heartache drugs has brought to the lives of so many families in this area. Lastly we just enjoy the fun of riding motorcycles and if we can do some good on the side that makes it even better.
