Kirk Randleman - Beginning with playing “Little Brown Jug” on the ukulele at age 9, Kirk plays the mandolin, autoharp, banjo and guitar. Kirk has played with many top flight bluegrass bands in WNC and is well known for his singing voice and instrumental skills. Kirk founded the band to try a different musical experience and is pleased with the results.
Angelina Giampocaro Spencer- When she got chills performing with Appalachia for the first time at the renowned Folk Festival 2007, she realized it didn’t matter what type of music as long as she was singing! Musical theater is Angelina’s forte. She has been singing for the past 12 years in Asheville’s Midday Musicals and for hundreds of weddings, singing has been one of the great joys of Angelina’s life.
Craig Bannerman – Craig was first bitten by the music bug when he attended 1960’s jam sessions of mountain pickers in Asheville NC. Craig found that his music could best be expressed through playing the stand-up bass. He also has played with many groups in WNC and he and Kirk have played together in several bands over the past twenty five years.

Born in 2007 from a vision Kirk Randleman had in a mind clouded by cold medicine, AppalachiaSong is a group of friends who are joined together by a common love of music. With over 120 years of combined experience (man, they must be old!) playing and singing, this group will entertain you with many different types of music. Featuring innovative harmonies and arrangements, some great singing, and some pretty durn good pickin’, AppalachiaSong will take you on a musical journey from the songs of John Lennon and The Mamas and Papas to the traditional bluegrass songs of the Stanley Brothers and The Carter Family.
