Let’s talk about me. Don’t worry, I’ll be brief. My actual name is Mark van der Waarde. I like the usual stuff (music, books, flicks, riding my bike). I can be congenial, quiet, passionate, grumpy, awestruck, cynical, rebellious and apathetic, sometimes all in the course of a single day. I guess that qualifies me as a human being. I get lost in thought when I’m not supposed to. I’m a reluctant, law-abiding resident of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I’m a freelance webdeveloper with a passion (latest project: Room Eleven) I’m an occasional, self-proclaimed and unpublished short fiction writer. In another place and time I could very well have been a Private Dick but right here and now I’m the bass player of a Dutch alt-country outfit called El Pino and the Volunteers. And I happen to write my own music, most of which turn out rather cinematic. This here myspace profile is meant for just that.
