Higher Ground was started in 2000 at Appalachian State by John Pendley and some of his friends that he sang with in high school. The group was based on having fun, sounding great, and bringing something totally new to the table. Higher Ground has grown in popularity and has earned it's reputation as the premier a cappella group at Appalachian State.
Higher Ground has just put out their first studio album in six years, Wing Night. "Do You Believe in Love" was just selected for Voices Only 2008 and "Hear You Me" was on Voices Only 2007.
