Appomattox started out as a local torrance band by the name of Denial. Original line-up was Karl - Rythm Guitar, Matt - Lead Guitar, Josh - Drums and Shawn - Bass. After getting down a few songs the band slowly dissolved. Matt, Josh and Shawn started jamming again and soon Eric joined the outfit. After practicing and getting tight they felt they were ready to do some shows. After various canceled dates and practices the band went into a small hiatus. Soon after Shawn parted ways with the band and after a few rehersals there was no doubt that the right guy for the job would be Ryne. As a full force (know as Monarch at the time) they cut a 3 song demo and played a couple shows. After another long hiatus the band looked to be on thier last legs. Well now that they are together again the band is back with new meterial, a new name, and a new attitude. This is APPOMATTOX!
