I love spending time with my son, and my husband. I have a pretty healthy obsession with Disneyland, Marciano Heels, Sushi, Reading, Coffee, Cooking, and Star Wars... seriously.

I started modeling in 2000. My boyfriend at the time, took some pinup style pictures of me, and entered them in a contest for the radio program "The Double Wide Hayride Show". I was pretty shocked when I heard I won. We entered my pictures into some more contests, which I also won. You have to remember that back then, 8 years ago, Pin up was not even close to what it is now. There were a select few of us, that had our websites and did this kind of work. I'm not saying that to be cocky, by no means is that my motive. It just happens to be the truth. There were not all these modeling websites, there was no Myspace. We basically had, like I said, our private websites, and of course, RetroKitten. Heck... we're talking back in the day when our fan pages were Yahoo clubs. haha.
Those little contests, led me to some pretty high profile gigs. I did BARRACUDA MAGAZINE, I was on the cover of HOT ROD MAGAZINE in 2002, I did a Calendar with the amazing photographer David Perry for SPEEDVISION TV which the photo is also in his book "Hot Rods and Pin Ups", and also a TV interview for SPEEDVISION. I did a photoshoot for my all time favorite band BLAZING HALEY. Those pretty well known shoots landed me an article and cover for OC WEEKLY. I was pretty stoked. But what a lot of people do not realize, is that modeling, doesn't do much for me. I liked it to a certain extent, otherwise I wouldn't have done it, but not many people know what I went through prior to those shoots. I was a nervous wreck. I would get so nervous, that I would feel like vomiting. Modeling wasn't something I wanted to do to be famous... to be known. I just did it. It was a passing phase for me. And now when I look back at that time, I think its pretty crazy. I was an 18 year old girl in 2000, not knowing what I was getting into or where it would lead me. And well.. Wow. I must say that I was pretty lucky. I quit modeling in late 2002. I did one photoshoot back in 2006 for Versatile Fashions. And I sit back now and see all these Myspace pages of girls, and websites etc etc.. and I get a big kick out of it. Pin up isn't what it use to be. And Im definitely glad I had my run with it, but I'm even more glad that Im out of it now.
I'm not saying that I will never do a shoot again. I might. But nowadays, its so commonplace to be a pinup. It lacks so much substance. Every girl with a myspace page, is a pin up, and everyone with a camera is a photographer. The uniqueness has faded. The excitement has been lost.
I'm just glad I had my time with it.. But I'm much happier being a mother, and a wife. Thats where the real pride comes in.
