Oh, April, you're very sweet to say such things.

Is ANYONE too cool to go to Girl Scout Camp? I'll go in her place and she can go to work for me. Think she'll go for that?

Well, I'm off to go kayaking. I haven't been on the water in a long time and that's not good.

Talk to you soon!

It wasn't bad. I went to visit the family in Waxahachie. My entire Saturday was spent at my sister's basketball games. There were 4. The first one started at 9am and the last one started at 7pm. It was a long day and I wasn't even doing anything.
Yesterday, I visted with my older sister and her kids for a little while and then drove back to Austin. I did a little shopping and spent way more than I should have. The day ended in a search for Battlestar Galactica season 2.5, which we didn't find.

Now, we're just getting ready for ALA this weekend. We leave Friday and you KNOW that we aren't anywhere near ready to go. So much to do! I have a feeling we'll be up all Thursday night packing. :/ I wish you were going, too!

And, yes, Margo is adorable! I plan on reading her book ASAP. So much to read, so little time.

Your comment CRACKED me up! It's good to know that if I ever go swimming with you, I'll be safe. It's a good thing I'm not tender headed. And really, what's a little punch in the face amongst friends?

We did have fun at the Saloon afterwards. It was great to chat with everyone again. Although, I was sad that you and Jenny weren't able to come. I love you guys! I'm glad you had a great dinner, though. :)

Thanks for teaching me how to turn my jeans into a lifesaving device! It was great to see you. Can't wait to hang out with you again soon. I think things will calm down a bit after ALA, then maybe we can schedule something. :) How was the rest of the evening?

I have decided that we all need to get together soon. I'm a good decision maker like that. Maybe after school lets out? How'd the recital go?

I don't remember if I've asked you, but are you planning on going to Shana's party at Book People?

You know, I haven't really thought about Regarding Henry in a long time, but I really did like it when I saw it. I'm a big fan of both Harrison Ford and Annette Bening. Now, I totally want to watch that again!

We did the Indi-fest yesterday. And it was a good thing we watched all of them again, because I really only remembered The Temple of Doom! I remembered that major scenes in The Last Crusade, but most of it was forgotten.

Dance recital, huh? Sounds like a fun way to spend the day. Not really. It could be worse, though. Our swim meets were really boring. You sit around all day until it's time for you to go swim for a minute or so. Maybe you get to swim 4 times, but it's still a long day of waiting. My parents are still going through the same stuff with my sister's track meets and basketball tournaments.

I hope you do something fun to make up for the not so fun stuff. :)

Awww, kids are so cute! Things here are going well. Lots of reading going on. I got to read Justine's How To Ditch Your Fairy, which was awesome. If you can get your hands on an ARC, you should read it ASAP.

We're having an Indiana Jones Marathon tomorrow, which should be fun. My main goals for the weekend include getting my kayak out on the water for a good paddle and cleaning out my closet. We'll see if either of those happen. :)

Any plans for the weekend?

Oh yeah, now I remember. That sounds pretty interesting though. I know that I wouldn't get ANY office work done if I was in Hawaii, so maybe goat herding and coconut meat harvesting is the right idea. And who wouldn't want to spend the summer in Hawaii? That will make some great stories, that's for sure. Dan sure is interesting! But, not in a bad way. I also think that you're really cool to let him go do whatever he's got his heart set on doing. :) My parents were cool like that when I decided to go to the UK for a couple months. A lot of people told me that if they were my parents, they wouldn't let me go. Something about it being too dangerous and I shouldn't go alone. Pfffft.

May 13 2008 4:49 PM

That cracked me up. At least it wasn't raw, right? Is Dan home for the summer or just for a quick visit?

Glad to hear you got some sleep. I was in bed by 9:30 last night, which is WAY early for me. However, I did get up to drop off a finals survival care package (a little late, though) to Sir Paul. Poor guy has been locked away in the lab for several weeks now.

Uhhh. What DID I do? Let me think...I don't really remember what we did Friday night. Oh yeah, we went to Whole Foods and then Book People. Saturday, I went to one of Michelle's library things and played video games with the kids there. Afterwards, we went to JoAnn's and bought some fabric for a little project I'm working on. And on Sunday, we hung around and did a bunch of cleaning. That was pretty much it. Not too exciting.

And tonight? The cleaning continues. Michelle's parents will be here Thursday night, so we're making sure the place is presentable. I'm tackling my bathroom right now. I can't seem to get the drain plug out. It will pop up so water can drain out, but I can't get it completely out of the drain. I really want to make sure there isn't a bunch of gunk in the pipe (I'm pretty sure there is) and the plug is just not cooperating.

Also, I've probably killed several brain cells with the CLR fumes. :/ But it makes the metal fixtures so shiny!
