Currently signed by EMI Records, April is poised to bring her brand of music and talent to the Philippines and throughout Asia. Teamed together with renowned Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter Gen Rubin, they have created a compilation of hard-hitting, jaw-dropping, dance-oriented tracks scheduled for released in early October 2004.
Although April is only twenty-years-old, she has already established herself as a professional artist at the age of fourteen when she released her first album in the United States. This prompted many invitations to perform and open up for other well-known artists such as 98 Degrees, Pink, Mya, Chaka Kahn, Brian Mcknight, JaRule, Snoop Dogg, and many more.
April has also been voted as one of the top young artists of the year in 2001 by the number one radio station in Seattle, Washington, KUBE 93.3 and was invited to record a song about the 9/11 tragedy and received numerous airplay.
Aprils career took full flight when at the tender age of 11, was invited to sing the National Anthem for the Seattle Supersonics NBA team. From then on, she sang for the National Football League, Major League Baseball, and many other sporting events in the United States. She eventually became known as the National Anthem Girl of the Pacific Northwest.
At the age of 13, April was signed to her first label deal and released her first album a year later. April wrote three tracks from that album and her song Let These Feelings Go became a favorite amongst her fans. Not only is April a singer/songwriter but an all out performer. Throughout the years April has wowed crowds with her energetic dance moves and nonstop interaction with her audiences. So look out for April as she begins to grace the music industry with her unique brand of style and sound!
