I've often said I don't approve of the copy and paste method........it's surely a form of plagiarism. However, when the artist's description of their history and themselves is far superior to whatever I could cook up I have to give them their dues and share it with our readers. Therefore, please forgive me and let me present Macula (in their own words):
We are a Vancouver band, hell-bent on pushing the edges forward, exploring new ground, tapping into the source, the energy, the flow that is all around us.
We are not content writing music for what others will think. It comes from deep within, when working as a cohesive unit. We see the art and the magic right in front of us all.
Influences stem mostly from the early 90's, but there really is no end to the list of music that inspires us. Funk grooves are mixed with crunchy metal riffs, and the result is a broad spectrum of where the musical creativity can lead us. Acceptance is not our driving force. We strive to maintain a unique sound that is true to our hearts, and a live show that envelops you, the audience, in the emotion and soul we pour out.
