About Aquanaut vs. Cosmonaut

Change is not always subtle or easy – ask the mountains forced through the earth’s crust and into the heavens or the fields laid to waste by the pyroclastic blasts of volcanoes. Change can be a violent upheaval that turns the stomach of even the most hardened voyager.

For the Aquanaut and the Cosmonaut, change is inevitable and necessary for their very survival.

Aquanaut vs. Cosmonaut is a band that is in a constant state of reinventing itself and change has been its loyal companion.

AvC is at its core a three-piece band with many talented satellites orbiting within its gravity, lending their own musical hue and augmenting their live sound.

This Portland band aims to create music that is different than the sounds that dominate this strange and uneasy time. To accomplish this mission, the band has marooned itself in its subterranean laboratory in the hot heat of summer to write, record and prepare for take off.

Beth and Mike kicked ass playing the drums together (very impressive performance), Dean did good juggling the synths and bass while Kari had some nice guitar work and vocals, that blended so well with Beth's voice. I have had your songs looping over and over in my head since the show.... You guys have a great sound and a great groove! I can't wait for your album to come out! : )
