Arabella's Blurbs |
About me:
I'm open to all forms of mysticism - balanced with common sense, and checked out by trying things and personal experience.
Whether it's seen in terms of Christian mysticism, Taoism, Egyptianalia, Norse, Pagan, Hermetic, Arthurian, Gnosticism, Rosicrucian or Tibetan, etc., it's the general principle to look out for, the common traits, the relationship between beliefs, the signs, the symbols - the main principles that are important.
From an early age I studied the craft of the wise, and have always been very close to nature. For the last 15 years I have made an intensive practical study of the Qabalah. I've also been intrigued by Carlos Castaneda and have read all his books several times, and have delved into certain strains of Tibetan Buddhism.
From an early age I trained in Kung Fu and Tai Chi, and found through my own experience that inner energy - chi - does exist and can be used and interpreted in so many different ways in different systems and paths. Martial arts also showed me how important it is to get a balance between physical exercise and spiritual... which means, in theory, that I should spend a hell of a lot less time on this pc...
In short, I'm influenced by the whole of life's incredible range of mysteries.
"For the average man, the world is weird because if he's not bored with it, he's at odds with it. For a warrior, the world is weird because it is stupendous, awesome, mysterious, unfathomable." Don Juan
