Brownsville, TX girl Araceli Vasques is making it happen. Some of the films she has been in include "From Mexico with Love", "El Abandonado", "The Garage", "Poodle Dog Lounge", "Grindhouse", "A Zombie Musical" to name a few. She is currently working on yet another movie "Dos Quetes Un Mujer No Amour". Our brown town Brownsville girl is going places! Let's give her our support.

Dancing, acting, singing, voice over, traveling, walks, and listening to music. I'll be one of the first to step in when I see injustices, abuse or things that could better our life. OK guys. The tool at the bottom (AYOS iShare) left side of this page is for those that want to hear some of my voice over work. YES all of the voices are mine. Children and all. I love working in both Spanish and English. More coming soon. All that is love and art. The simplest things in life. Children. Peace. Of course my top priority in life is to focus on my family followed by my career and then I try to help children that need to be saved. I know I can't save all of the children out there. I can't possibly heal all the broken hearts but I do know I can give them unconditional love and show them there are people in this world that can be there for them. If you have anger problems and a child is taking your rage, please get some anger management counseling. If you know of a child that's being abused call your local child abuse hot line. Don't wait for a miracle, be the miracle.

Parents, don't lose sight of that. Walk with God as a family. Please, don't forget to tell them you love them, I did and I was humbled by my ignorance in this. Showing them you love them isn't enough. Hug them and tell them you love them. They need to hear it every day because you never know when God will take you or them home.

I love acting, it's my passion. I also love to dance, sing and visit national parks to chill and think about odd things like God, life, love and family.
  • Music

I love all music but prefer the music I grew up dancing to which is cumbia, merengue, cha-cha-cha, rancheras, Mexican folk and yes even country. Hey, I live in Texas! Include in the list every thing from jazz, hip-hop, easy listening, gospel, and anything else.
  • Movies

"The Green Mile" the part where he says, "Boss, I see it every where, the anger, the rage." etc. I believe this touches me like no other movie along with so many other parts in the movie. The other part is where he sees the clip and he sings "I'm in Heaven" being that I'm hoping to get there, I too dream of heaven. CLICK HERE FOR MOVIE CLIPS
Just got word that "Miracle Investigators" is receiving raving reviews. It's received several awards already and I'm happy to say I formed part of the actors that participated in this short comedy. Congratulations to Jeremy Dehn on this one. You can view a clip by going to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Iiy1jLK5LQ "The Garage", "Zombie Musical" and "GrindHouse" I worked on these movies as an extra. I also worked on a movie - TV pilot for HBO as both an extra and a Set PA "Poodle Dog Lounge". I just received news that this will be presented to the public sometime in 2008. Visit the web site at www.poodledoglounge.com Also, I worked on a Spanish feature movie "El Abandonado". This is available on DVD for both purchasing or to rent. Email me if you'd like to purchase it as I have some copies here. It has subtitles. I have a small part in this movie and it's a little bit risque for my taste (my part) but as an actress, I will say that it looks worse then it really was on set. This is available in Netflix and through Blockbuster. Finally, I've worked on several commercials for HEB, Walmart, Texas Lotto and Halmark Cards. So, if you think I look familiar, it might be because of those commercials. Lately I've begun working on voice overs. I hope to one day be the voice of a cartoon character or two. .. For those that couldn't go to see the play, here is a small sample of the last play I was in.

  • Television

PBS. Occasional programs in the evening that I may happen upon. Other then that, I haven't been watching that much TV.
  • Books

Non-Fiction books; Scripts and the list will grow as time permits it.
  • Heroes

Those that are able to survive extraordinary events without being broken by them but they get up and learn to be stronger.

Those that don't abuse or use the kindness of others to get ahead in life and then call the abused names. They would recognize a kind heart, hold hands and know how to make a team so that as a team they can work together and build a stronger group.

Those that know when to be an adult and when to have fun like a child without being hurtful toward others. Being a child again is fun but children aren't ugly like adults are or adults teach children to be. Those that don't just ask to be forgiven but know how to forgive without falling into the judgment trap. Help the one you forgive and allow to be helped when forgiven.

Those that repair whatever wrong they have done and have the capability to speak up when they know they've wronged and not be afraid or allow shame to take away this capability of repairing the wrongs with true repentance.

Those that know how to take a compliment and listen for it instead of listening for the negative stuff and only focusing on that.

Those that have it together and work with others in harmony and love.

    Respect and are respected.

    Love and are loved.

    Give and receive.

"Acting is my passion as is learning. I love to live life with a smile and a positive attitude. I'm sorry that I'm not engaged in this or other web sites but my current schedule is quite full. I'm currently working on a film and have a second contract for another one in the pipe line. I appologize before hand if I don't respond to your messages immediately so please be patient with me."

Well, some of you may have already heard the news but if you haven't here it is. "From Mexico with Love" is being released in major theaters this October 9, 2009. Don't forget to check out the movie that's coming to you in theaters this October. Look for me in the back ground somewhere. Also, yours truly is working on a movie entitled "Dos Quetes Un Mujer No Amor". Filming begins toward the end of August of 2009. No word yet where this movie is being released. I have a small but significant role in this movie. Finally, there are a couple of invites to some productions being worked on locally. More to come as contracts and dates are set. To all of my friends, family and fans. I've been VERY busy lately so I'm quite sorry that I haven't been available. My love to all of you is still unconditional as always. Though I may be far physically, my heart will always be close to all of you.

I am me! I've lived a very full life and don't excuse any part of my life. I've survived so many things but I'm proud of it all. Specially the latest ordeals which include the fight of my life and for my life. To many, my life is too complicated and they are too weak to deal with it but to others I'm a shining star of hope. Having had a very tough life as a child and as a young adult, I began pushing forward in life with conviction and trusting God would be there with me all the time. I have bumps and bruises from some bad experiences but all in all, I'm extreamly happy with the way my life is turning out.

So, I'm an extreamly proud parent of three wonderful angels. Am a SAG actress. Love the arts specially acting and dancing. Love listening to music and people. Love good surprises. Enjoy traveling and will be traveling a bunch in the next few years. Love to have fun in the sun. I'm a romantic at heart. I love to laugh but not at just anything; family jokes are the best. Of course I am happy being single and have a full happy life. I'm just living a happy life following God's laws and appreciating all I have and even the things I don't. Nature, movies, dancing, excercising, dining out, parks, camping, stopping to smell the roses, shopping and so many other things that I enjoy in life and like to do. There are days, however, that I enjoy just hanging out at my home and just be. Respectful when respected and totally God loving. I don't like to see our world fall into ruin because we couldn't stop the destruction of earth a wee bit earlier. Judge me not for you shall be judged twice as hard by the hand of God and in the end that's the one that counts.

Thanks to everyone that has given me a chance and has opened doors that I thought were closed. Thanks to everyone that's been there for me in the good times and the not so good times. For all the wonderful comments of support. For all of the friends that have helped me when I needed help. For all those that are following my career, I am very thankful. Thanks to all for the wonderful fan mail and wonderful comments that I've been receiving lately.

Children are loved here for I see them as little angels that have come to earth to be guided in life by the adults that have them in their care. Sometimes I think it's unfortunate that some children end up with adults that have no sence and turn out misguiding the children and their innocence is taken by the perspective in life that these adults give them. Fortunately, our good Lord has given all of us the ability to make choices no matter how tough your life is or has been. Excuse not that which you were but fight for that which you want to be.

To my life long friends. When we become older we realize that we were never apart. We are like pieces of clothing in a washing machine. We come together and then the cycle of life pulls us apart. Lately I've been finding old friends (or they've been finding me). The wonderful memories of the early spring time of my life will always bring laughter and tears. It's amazing how after so many years the people we come to think of are the ones we grew up with. The hardest thing is finding out how many of those friends have departed from this life. The other one is realizing how much we had in common as we share our happy or sad moments. It's no wonder that we yearn for those days again when fall has come into our life and we know the breeze is beginning to occasionally blow subtle winter winds that remind us we will soon be part of the winter yet we look forth to getting back to a wonderful spring. To all my dear friends that I grew up with and to the ones that have departed, I'll always keep you in my heart regardless of how many years have gone by.

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone willing to be a good friend. I will be a good friend to you. You can never have too many friends.

I also like to meet casting directors, directors, producers, actors, dancers and writers. Anyone involved in the music and movie industry. Be true and be real, be YOU and you will be happy. I'd fall back and think I'm in heaven if I work with Guillermo del Toro, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson or Steven Speildburg. Of course there are many other actors and directors I'd love to be part of their life and the heaven created on sets. To act is to free one's soul, mind and spirit.
