Seattle-based artist Aradia is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, arriving at a sound best described as roktronika. Reminiscent of artists from Goldfrapp to Blondie, from Bjork to Joan Jett, Aradia blends rock, electronic, and world music to ultimately create a particularly defined flavor of pop music. Her songs have rich rhythmic textures, provoking lyrics and distinct sounds that race across a spectrum of genres. Think Wood Nymph meets Sci-fi warrior; Superhero do-gooder meets space villainess. Aradia is a Roktronik Sci-Fi adventure of Sense and Sound.
Aradia’s musical foundations formed at an early age when she began playing piano and flute. She received classical training from the age of eight, and started performing at ten years old. As a teen, she learned guitar, began playing in bands, and performed in theatre around the New York and tri-state region.
Aradia represents and radiates a vast creative force that spans music, mentorship, fashion and fiction. Her approach to the artistic world builds bridges across genres, personalities and mindsets. She is hard at work constructing the famous table in that everyday high school cafeteria where everyone can sit around and be comfortable with others—and themselves.
