About me: Adam Blasucci Winner of the 2007 Best Short Short Hoboken International Film Festival!
Recipient of the 2007's Long Island International Film Expo Finishing Grant!
Action/Cut 2007 Special Jury Award For Documentary Film
Director, Writer, Producer, Editor and Lead Actor of Hell On Wheels
My name is Adam Blasucci. I am 32 years old and have Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. It is a progressive muscle weakening disease. I've used a wheelchair since the age of six. My disease has progressed to the point where I must use a ventilator 24 hours a day and I need 24 hours of nursing care. Hell On Wheels is my first film project. It is a dramatization of some negative experiences I've had.
Now let me tell you a little bit about my background. I'm originally from Long Island, N. Y. I moved to South Jersey with my parents and my brother in 1981. I am a high school graduate and attended some college courses. My interests were mostly in liberal arts. Some of the classes I took were Introduction to Music, Introduction to Art, American Cinema and Introduction to Theater.
I am a film critic and entertainment reporter for an Internet lifestyle magazine for young disabled adults called Audacity
(audacitymagazine.com).
I love film, Ever since I was a child playing with my G.I. Joe and Star Wars action figures, I have dreamed of making my own films.
I finally got a chance to make my lifelong dream come true.
My intention with this project was to put my feelings and thoughts about being disabled on film. With this film I can shine some light on the indignities and prejudices the disabled community faced every day. Maybe the audience will walk away from this film understanding that we are just like you.

If somebody hears the words Pit Bull or Bull anything they run to the hills.
Just the sight of a pit bull scares people to death.
The truth of the matter is pit bulls are not monsters, but lovable, playful, intelligent and caring canines.
Why do I know this? Because I have a Pit Bull/Chocolate Retriever mix named Mocha.
She's one of the most loving dogs I've ever had. My family and I have had three Irish Setters who were headstrong and hyper. Mocha was much easier to train and get accustomed to our home. I have muscular dystrophy and Mocha is always very careful not to hurt me when she jumps on my lap. She is a gentle, loving dog who only wants to please our masters.
So if you ever see a Pit Bull don't run for your life because a Pit Bull can be man's best friend.
Its irresponsible people who treat their Bully breed dogs inhumanely my raising them to fight. They are truly responsible for making their dog dangerous. The fact of the matter is, Bully breed dogs want so badly to please their masters that they easily learn to fight.
Here are a couple of positive role models consider; Petey from the Little Rascals, RCA's mascot, Nipper, Target's spokes dog, Spot. Lastly, the dog Nana in Peter Pan was based on dogs that actually were trusted to watch over their masters ' children.
Maybe, if people become more educated about the true nature of these dogs and dog fighting is put to an end, The Bully breeds will regain good reputation. Of course people should be cautious when meeting any dog, so don't run for the hills and grab your children at the sight of these loving animals. Caesar Milan, noted dog psychologist always says ban the breeder not the breed.

hey adam! Yeah monster mania was pretty fun. The girl from Ginger Snaps was really nice. After everyone saying she had no personality. She took an awesome pic with me. Which made me happy, and i talked to James Marsters for a little about my mom and this one buffy episode. Its good to see someone you admire understand. This weekend i'm going to scarefest in KY. I can' t wait. Its a paranormal horror convention. And Danielle Harris is going to be there, i met her before but she's awesome. It should be a good time. I'll let you know how it goes. I hope things are doing good for you.
