Arcadia was formed in January of 2007 by Matt Klassen, Tim Saylor and Andrew Hanes. The combination of experience, a passion for music and thought provoking, poetic lyrics drive Arcadia forward. Their sound can best be described as an alternative rock fusion with influences taken from not only blues, jazz, and funk but also dance music. "Lyrically, we seek to share the truth drawn from both our observations and our personal experiences" says Andrew Hanes, lead singer and guitar player. Arcadia offers a new sound with strong approach.
Arcadia hasn't been together for very long but has accomplished much. They have opened for signed artists such as Article One, Tree 63, and The Junction. Arcadia has also recorded and released their own two albums. One album titled "Passage" (a full 14 song CD) and a bonus disc titled "Epilogue" (featuring some of their acoustic songs). Arcadia is apart of Quick Star Productions Rock 4 Life Compilation Album (Volume 16). You can purchase their song "Perilous Realm" on i-tunes or amazon.com.
Currently Arcadia is working on new material. They recently won free recording time at a Battle of The Bands and will be releasing a new single soon.
