About me:

..
.. .. Arcana began in 2004 as a studio.

Not a publisher and not a comic book company.

But here we are, proud to talk about what we've done in both areas.

The Comics:

In just over two years, we have published over 60 comics and 7 books, reaching sales of nearly 750,000 books. We are found on 15 different countries and are translated into seven languages across the globe.

Nominated for a Harvey Award and winning the Shuster Award for Top Publisher are just a few of the accolades that Arcana is very proud of.

The Studio:

We have been hired by some of the very best, to create the very best. Arcana has been hired to produce toy designs, webpage designs, set designs for movies and television and 3D Computer Generated models. We have always met our deadlines and have always been within budget.

If you are looking for a professional studio to produce top quality graphics (2D or 3D) for your business or project please look no further.

Clients include: Disney, HBO, New Line, Ubisoft, Google.

Our History:

Completing our debut title Kade, we had great success with the gothic hero and began to see the potential we had uncovered. Ant was Arcana's follow-up title and completely sold out in less than 9 days, an unprecidented feat for an independent publisher. Ezra became Arcana's top selling book ever, while 100 Girls went on to be featured as one of the top 12 books of the year in Wizard's Secret Stash. Sundown, El Arsenal, Paradox and Dead Men Tell No Tales complete the lineup, but some of the best of Arcana is yet to come...

Who I'd like to meet:

Aspiring talented artists (pencilers, colorists, painters, 3D modellers), video game programmers, Robert Rodriguez and Big Bird.

The rogue professor entered the basement at thirteen hundred hours. The walls were coated with a mat black rubber. They absorbed the deep blue lighting shining from multiple lamps placed around the room. There appeared to be a large group1 of individuals standing in a grid formation. They were static. Casting steady shadows upon the floor on which they stood. The professor mingled through them. Observing each one with  scrutiny. Then, rubbing the stubbles on his head he clearly voiced for the lights to rise to medium exposure. A slight hum filled to room as the human features of all present became more obvious in the rising clarity.

In response to your e-mail; I'd love to see more "Heavy Metal" style books out there.  The different stories and art was something I loved as a teen.  I liked all the sci-fi stuff/fantasy stuff best but I always wished they didn't show so much of the adult stuff...not that that's a bad thing...but sometimes I felt like the creators used that as a crutch versus good story telling.  In the early years of Marvels Epic and Heavy Metal, it was like whole new worlds in those books.
