Born Ian Chang, 'Purpose' is a talented singer who ventured into music at a very tender age.

Like most Jamaican artistes, Purpose nurtured his singing in church and was encouraged by his mother, while taking his inspiration from legendary Jamaican singers like Garnet Silk, Jah Cure and International Artistes like Michael Bolton and Ray Charles.
